Name: Paul King
Place of Birth: Toronto, Canada
City and country of residence: Toronto, Canada
Current vocation: Teacher: Science (Chemistry)/Math/Computer Science
This
rather strange symbol is from the Coat of Arms at the university I attended:
Memorial
University of Newfoundland. I majored in Biochemistry there, and got
my B. Sc. there. I also obtained a Bachelor of Education. The closed, locked
books in the Coat of Arms always kind of bothered me. From what I know,
MUN was the only university in the Commonwealth to use closed, locked books
on their shield.
This
is another affiliation I have, to the Canadian
Institute of Food Science and Technology. I am helping out with their
web pages as well. Also, I am helping out Ralph Blanchfield and Rachel
Zemser with the FAQ for the newsgroup sci.bio.food-science.
I have written on various Internet issues
for Toronto Computes!, The
Computer Paper, and The Globe
and Mail. Favourite topics of mine include legal issues, consumer protection
issues, security, and privacy.
As for my other interests, I am a collector of "Stupid Robber" stories, and am a Linux advocate. I engage in various sports, such as swimming, cycling, and jogging.
A more recent image of me (July 2006) taken at home.
